This item is from a German company but made in China. Having said that the build quality is very high and the item works very well. An excellent instruction booklet is provided which is split into sections of many language’s. The unit is well sealed against water ingress and easy to fit on a flat surface.The unit has two separate pir sensors the longer range one is adjustable up and down but not side to side, the other close up sensor is mounted under the long range sensor. Because the long range sensor does not move side to side it’s horizontal adjustment appears fixed, but can be adjusted. To achieve this individual elements of the pir lens can be covered with white sticky tape, which stops them working.The adjustment of the operating area is by a walk test in daylight, set the lux control to Sun and the time control to 10s. With the unit powered up walk the area covered by the sensor to see where it operates and adjust as required. When you are happy reset the lux to how dark you want it to operate at and the time control to the time you want it to operate for. Job done.

There are comments about this being a class II device that doesn't need an earth line. That's fine, but it depends on what you're connecting to it and how ... and there's too many variables to definitively give an answer on whether you need an earthing line. Different devices attached, how power is fed to them etc. etc.I put an earth line into this housing fine, without a problem. There isn't a great deal of room internally for this, but it fits comfortably and takes an extra 60 seconds.

Ordered this unit as neatly styled and one of few advertised as IP66 waterproof - we'll have to see. Seal at cable entry points good, you are not intended to fit your own grommets, so don't try unless you have already spoilt the soft rubber seal.Easy to install in spite of limited space in connection box, remove the no tools needed connector from its mounting pegs and it's simple. Their remains space for your own earth connection if needed. I recommend removing the cut-outs from the outer cover as soon as you know which you will be using, things get tangled if you try to do this once all connected. If using outdoors, do pay attention to the 'up' indication (for me it would have looked better upside down) but the adjustment is then facing up, into the rain. Yes, its supposed to be waterproof, but why risk it!Works well in full sun as well is in the dark.As all too often, instructions are baffling in all major languages, almost certainly unnecessary unless you wish to connect more than one sensor to the same light.

Delivery from Amazon was as always good, The motion censor was installed with no issues, The product was easy to set up in terms of light / timing. The best review I could give is "would I by this product again ?) absolutely and have already bought another on for the other side of the property.

Using this in a half enclosed porch to turn the light on when someone comes to the door. Works great, and saves electricity as light only comes on when needed, and not during the day. You need a reasonable knowledge of electrical wiring/diy if installing yourself, but straightforward for an electrician, and has good instructions.

Bought this as it was a) small and b) the right colour to blend with our new 'anthracite' coloured porch glazing/framing. Used it to turn a nice ornamental light by the door into an 'auto light'. Easy to suss out the power etc (or get a pro to take care of) it sits between the isolator switch inside and the light on the wall. Works great, tucked up high, above the door, out of sight. You walk up to the door... And the (non-auto, non-PIR) light comes on. Can adjust for different brightnesses and times (so it doesn't come on as you leave the house when daylight) but the defaults work just great. No probs so far. Very happy.

Easily put up with foolproof connection. Really minor concern about the detection range - I think it's a little bit shorter than 12 metres but that could be its position. Still much better than built-in PIR lights I've used previously.

Quite easy to install. It does everything it says it will in the product description. Time will tell if it’s waterproof abilities hold up to a few deluges
