Great flexibility as there are no wires and can support 2 devices
I bought these headphones at the start of June and have been using them every weekday since then. I was nervous in buying them having read the reviews - a noticeable minority of the views were negative. Having used them since June I have given them a 5 star rating - basically they met all the objectives I had for them.Context:I have been working from home since Covid hit. I spend a lot of time running meetings. The headphones supplied by my employer were on-ear wired logitech headphones. For meetings I am either connected in via computer audio (Cisco Webex teams) or by my mobile phone. Objectives - the problems I was looking to solve:1. Looking for one set of headphones that could do both computer audio and mobile phone. Up to this I had one set of headphones connected into my computer (logitech) and a Bose QC25 headset connected to my mobile phone.2. Headphones that I could comfortably wear for a long period. The on-ear headset was painful to wear after an extended period.3. Freedom of movement - my current set was wired and the wire had become tangled making it even more restrictive. I had invested in a standup desk and wanted something that I could move around with while on a call.4. I wanted a wireless headset that could also operate wired in case the battery was low but I still needed to be able to run meetings. Results:The headset met all my objectives with some added bonuses.1. I have the usb (Usb-A) connector into my laptop (Surface Pro Windows 10). Really easy to set up and get connected even with the fact that I don't have administrator rights. The headset is connected via bluetooth to my mobile phone (iPhone 7). With the computer connection my headset works well with cisco webex teams _ i am able to answer a call by pressing the center button on the headset.2. Headphones are very comfortably even after long periods of wearing.3. I have been able to move away from my desk while on calls with the headset. I have even headed outside to collect a delivery while on a call. Great connection.4. Battery lasts a long time. On the occasion i forgot to charge it i was able to plug in the charging cable and use it. Really useful.Bonuses:1. The ability to mute by moving the microphone boom arm is really useful - especially when you are away from the desk / computer.2. It connects automatically to my mobile and computer when i turn the headset on. The voice lets you know how many devices are connected.Points to note:I did not install the software on to my work laptop - instead I installed it on my personal laptop. I use my personal laptop to install updates. I have used the headset with my personal mobile as well (Samsung Galaxy note 8) with no issues. So it has worked well with Android and IOS devices.I did not reference noise cancelling or sound quality. These are good but not great - not a match for the Bose QC for example. Noise cancelling at present is not an issue for me as I currently work in a quiet environment. When I go back to the office they will get a greater test in this area. All in all I would recommend this. Hope this review helps people decide what to do.

Jabra evolve 85
I have owned the Jabra Evolve 85 for about a month now and I have mixed opinions with them.First impressions - Carry case is a sturdy hard shell from which the headphones charging cable, 2-way splitter and the PC USB A dongle as well as a 3.5mm jack to wire the headphones to your phone, tablet etc.Comparing these headphones with another headphone set I own (Steel Series 7p), this Jabra set are a little bit smaller, however these fit me perfectly. They are very comfortable and was still comfortable even after hours of use throughout the day. They are also very durable and look and feel of high quality and will match most other headphones on the market at this price point.Call quality is clear with no issues, however I have a couple of gripes with the mic. One being that the collapsible mic seems to offer worse audio quality than without using it according to my work colleagues who were my test subjects, also, there isn’t any side tone, and when you have noise cancelling turned on, the muteness to hearing my voice was unpleasant, and so I had to use ‘Hear Through’ mode in order to make this a little better to deal with.Sound Quality for music was decent across multiple genre that I listened to, however it was a little underwhelming and when compared to the steel series 7p, the sound stage seemed much wider on them where these felt quite compact. Bass was again decent, but I was always wanting more to be honest and Mids and High were good, and I didn’t have any complaints in this department. One other issue was that the headphones don’t get as loud as I would have liked as I was always on the cusp of max volume.Noise Cancelling is very good however hear through mode is not as good as something like the Apple Airpods for example.Last of all is the Jabra App and connectivity. This is where I think the whole experience was let down the most. The initial setup was easy and the headphones connected to my phone without any issues, but as I was using the Headphones on both my PC and Phone, I found that when I wanted to change the settings via the app, the app didn’t find my headphones and I then had to try and pair it again with my phone each time which got a bit tiresome, and now I don’t even bother using the app, because its too much of a faff, but being quite deep in Apple products, I am use to the seamless transition between devices that Apple provide, and unfortunately is a high bar that Jabra have to live up to.In conclusion, I think this is a decent set of headphones if you use it solely with your PC, but if you try and use it across devices, that is where the experience seems to faulter somewhat.

Lots of features but...
The media could not be loaded. The video attached to my review basically explains how I feel about these headphones, but to summarise for those who do not want to watch the video...I feel that these headphones has a lot of features and potential to be a great piece of kit, but is trying to do too much. The most annoying feature is the pause function when you take it off your ears. Unfortunately, it is too sensitive. When I slightly shift one ear cup, the pause function is activated and I constantly have to keep replaying whatever media I was engaged with. That ruined the experience for me. I felt more frustration than happiness while using it. The redeeming feature is the app which is a breeze to use and very well developed. Bluetooth pairing is excellent and the battery life is super. Sound quality is good, but sup par for the price. I also found the earcups a bit too tight for me and so I couldn't wear it for an extended period of time. All in all, lots of features but user experience is sup par for the price.
