Works well. Pulls hard. Good value for money. Yes, the cords are a bit too short.
#1 complaint I'm seeing about this is the remote cords are too short. Yes. Yes they are. But they're not unusable and honestly... I just bought some wire and extended them. I'd sooner that than have longer cords and a higher price.Beyond that it works fine. Easy to mount for anyone with basic skills. You may need to get some u-bolts or similar to fit your situation.What does 2,000 lb capacity mean? Would it actually dead-lift a ton? No clue. It pulled an 850-lb motorcycle with sticky brakes up a fairly steep ramp on its first outing.

I'm using this winch as a hoist to lift up my bike frame while I restore it it's been great ! Probably mounted to my John Deere Gator after I'm done.

Decent winch for the price point. Many issues with the installation and accessories.
The media could not be loaded. After a significant amount of "customizing", I got this little winch installed. It has a number of issues, as detailed in the video including length of cable, messy cable, remote labeled wrong, no washers for the screws, back screw on winch won't go past the cable, and difficulty getting the hook through the guide. If you are willing to deal with the installation issues and poor quality controls, it's actually a decent winch for the money, assuming it's better quality than every thing else that came with it. I will probably purchase a wireless remote for this later and wire it with disconnects as well to avoid leaving it out in my truck bed. They are notorious for having a bad battery or not working when you need the winch most. Don't want to get stuck out at a lake somewhere with no way to load my boat. I will keep the cable remote in my truck as a backup. I generously rated it a three.
