Wow, I was really pleased and happy with this purchase for the price paid. It does everything I wanted it to and more. The purpose was to see and check on my cats while on vacation. The picture quality is pretty darn good, too, even the night vision. So many good things about this: the app let's you pan almost the whole room, tilt up and down, zoom in, set motion detection and notifications, and even follow the motion around if you want, and you can even speak into your phone so your pets can hear you! And what can be better than this? No subscription needed for all that! There is a subscription option, but I didn't sign up for it, so I'm not sure what that entails. Some reviews mentioned getting a memory card, but I didn't get one, and it's fine for my purposes. The cord is long, which is super helpful. Highly recommend!

I bought one of these to help me keep an eye on my cat when I was out, and I now have 8 of them. They work great! I can set up the app to flip through them just by swiping; I could also do a 2x2 gridview if I wanted. They swivel a full 360 degrees and have good up/down movement. The night vision is very clear. I can take pictures and videos through them, which is a new way to take a selfie.One major downside is that they have to be plugged in, so I'm limited to placing them near outlets. You need something like the model 425 if you want a chargeable one, and that model doesn't swivel. So I have one of that sort to cover what would otherwise be a major gap, and it integrates into the app seamlessly.The other downside is that the motion sensors give a lot of false positives even with the sensitivity reduced. Maybe that's endemic to the technology? I've never had a motion sensor before. I've also not been able to get the microphone to work consistently, which I think is a matter of not trying to use it often enough to remember how it works. And there can be a few seconds lag.These aren't obtrusive but they are clearly visible.

This is a great camera system. It’s affordable and works well.I use mine for when I am out of town, it is my kitty cam. I keep it in private mode when I am at home.I love being able to talk to my cats through the mic, watch a live feed, download recordings and of course, keep an eye on my pets and pet sitter. I also love my cats’ reaction when I walk in the door after being gone a few days!Very easy setup, decent app. Would recommend!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Good camera, I got this to install at my mom’s house (dementia) and it gives us peace of mind. It follows movement well. It is for indoor use only but I like the app for the camera, easy to load and share with others

I wish I would have found these before buying google nest cameras. I have mostly replaced my subscription requiring cameras with these with an SD card. Camera quality is great and being able to control it remotely is even better! The local storage on the device saves a TON of data uploading, so if you have a data cap, these are super nice.

Bought 2 to keep an eye on my pets when not home. The voice quality is amazing real time barley any lage when talking. Camera works great and has great motion detection. The alerts come in real time and very easy to set up will buy more if anything happens to these ones.

I tried 2 other different camera brands and had to return due to not satisfied with use and connection. However, This product is great. I am a novice when dealing with new technology. Instructions with unit were non-existent, so I had to access Tapo's website to gain more information. 30 minutes of trial and error to connect and success! With the APP, still have to train myself on the additional features because there are no instructions. But, in general am happy with the Tapo C200.
