This is a great practice tool for use. It has been an effective teaching instrument for karate and can be safely used without high risk of injury.The mechanism for opening is smooth and responses well when tripped with active movement without too much give. I have multiple tiny scabs on my hands now because this thing is genuinely painful to use.The metal on the outside of the thing is sharp in almost every spot, and because of that, any time it swings around (Like a butterfly knife is supposed to) and impacts anything, it hurts like hell.

My 9 year old son is fascinated with butterfly knife tricks. This trainer is awesomely designed and looks super cool! Even the box it came in was awesome

The media could not be loaded.  after using this everyday since it arrived it’s starting to show a little wear but i can’t complain because it looks badass, and for 15 bucks (25 for shipping and handling) it’s amazing. i’ve had so much fun with it and am learning a bunch of tricks, i’d love to see this with a live blade. 4.8 stars

The colors are great and it moves smoothly. Great quality for the price.

It was a little stiff when I got it, but now it slides really smoothly and is a good weight to practice tricks with. I'm not sure how it compares with the weight with an actual sharp one, but I imagine they are fairly similar. Looks cool and is fun for impressing friends.
