Hayward W3900 Wanda the Whale Above-Ground Suction Pool Cleaner for Any Size Pool (Automatic Pool Vacuum)

Got this for my 18 x 36 above ground pool. Outstanding performance! Random movement but it eventually covers the entire pool floor. I wish I had purchased one sooner, I don't need to spend hours vacuuming the pool anymore, Wanda does it for me. Consider getting an in-line leaf catcher, like the Hayward W530 to keep them out of the pump filter basket.

I wish I had seen this prior to purchasing our first Hayward XL pool vac, which was more than double the price. It works well and my only issue would be needing a couple of extra pieces of hose because our semi-inground pool is large. It moves around the pool well and does a good job of picking up debris from the bottom. After using it I rinse it off and put it on the covered porch out of the sun. I didn’t take care of our first vacuum as well, but now I know better so hopefully this one will last longer.

This item does NOT work on “most” above ground pools. We purchased a top if the line Dough Boy above ground pool with Dough Boy filter and all.We unpacked “Wanda” and followed ALL directions. According to the sales information a buyer would be able to adjust the cleaner with the enclosed provided “regulator” to the threshold to work on pool.If your pool water flow is low you CANNOT use the provided regulator to correct. Therefore the system will NOT work.Is there a better brand than Dough Boy???? We went to the Dough Boy licensed dealer where we purchased (the dealer also installed) the pool and asked for assistance in case we were doing something incorrect.......they just shook their head and said.....we are one of MANY who have been ripped off by this company!Then to add insult to injury.....I purchased this item May 11th, (as a Farher’s Day gift) and do to the Current CORONA our pool was delayed and delayed and not fully installed and complete until Jun27th.With waiting until all decking and landscaping was done, we just today OPENED the box and discovered the regulator they provide cannot be adjusted to work.....after this disappointment......we then find out..........we only had 30 days to return.....boo to you Haywood and boo to you AMAZON.....we have truly been ripped off by both companies. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS or anything from HAYWOOD.....customer service would not even listen to our concerns or consider A return, with complete packaging and us paying the shipping cost to return.I don’t want to give any stars but the Amazon system makes you give at least one.......why must I give them my $350.00 AND one star??????RIPPED OFF!

The media could not be loaded. Best value, and comes with everything needed to use it.Ok, so I have an above ground 16 x 32 foot 52 inch deep intex ultra soft side pool. I have a 1hp pump, but a 3/4 would be enough to use this cleaner. I do use an in line canister with a filter sock to catch leaves and debris it picks up. I empty the canister daily so I dont have to backwash the filter or clean the pump out too often. I do use hose weights also. They are to keep the hose below the surface for my beatta pool surface skimmer. See the video and notice the trees but the pool looks great. YOU CANT BEAT THE VALUE OF THIS CLEANER. I am thinking of getting a cordless model just because this doesnt clean the wall or waterline. If that is a problem for you then dont get this its the reason for my review being 4 stars.

She may not look like a serious pool tool but this vac is excellent for keeping the floor of my pool clean! It's so easy to set up and works pretty much on her own (with an occasion unclog when the pine needles get in the pool.) I had a pool party and the pool started turning cloudy the next day, then a little green forming on the floor. We connected her and let her do her thing and she got the job done. At this point, I leave her on a couple days each week to make sure that everything gets picked up and to keep algae under control during this hot summer! I think we have finally figured out how to keep the water clean. I have been struggling each year that I've owned this pool to keep it clean and stabilized. The pool is situated next to a tree line with pine trees and mimosa (lots of little tiny leaves that drop all the time) and she is the perfect addition to the pool tools.
