Q: This is for my son to play with, and I’m concerned about possible lead paint. Has this been tested for lead?

This is a wind chime for outdoor use not a child’s toy. I would not buy it for my child to play with.

Q: Is it possible to purchase a replacement paper hanger that catches the wind?

As I recall it is the same green. I did not notice a difference.

Q: How can you keep the paper from disintergrating? Laminatie it with plastic. That will protect it from moisture, exposure to air, grime.

Laminate sounds like a good idea. My 3 chimes hang under the roof line so they are somewhat protected. No issues. I have noticed the string has become knotted and twisted. This does not interfere with the chime.
