Buy these once and have them forever.
After using two sets of these kitchen tongs for a couple of days, I find that they are very well made of heavy Stainless steel - no plastic - none. These tongs use considerably thicker stainless than any other kitchen tongs I have found over the past several decades. The heavy pin, spring, and lock should hold up indefinitely compared to other units that fail after only a year or two. The nicely beveled scalloped edges grip steaks and chops firmly, but still work well with vegetables and salad. Buy these once, and have them forever - I bought two.

Great brand, but made in China.
Excellent spoon. Made in China. Seems less sturdy than the previous AMCO spoons made in Japan. I bought two and they should last through my lifetime.

Nice balance, nice size, well made.
This is very simply a well-made, high-quality, very LARGE spoon. It is made of stainless steel, with a matte finish on the handle and a polished finish on the spade part (not sure what to call that end?). It says on the label that comes with it that the stainless steel is heavy-gauge and nonreactive. Time will tell.It has a nice balance when it is in your hand, and is dishwasher safe. It looks pretty stylish as well.I have uploaded a photo to give you an idea of its size.If things change as we continue to use it I will update this review. I hope my experience with it helped you to some degree....thanks for reading!

In the hand, this utensil excels
I really like this Amco slotted spatula but have to say that they don't make it like they used to. My favorite spatula of all time is an Amco, back from the days when it was made in the USA, before they moved manufacturing to China. This one has a couple of rough edges, something I only discovered when one jabbed my skin. After a serious wash and dry, I was able to smooth it and it's now perfect. Regardless of that initial snag, the design of the spatula is very comfortable to use, balanced in the hand, with a handle that is easy to grip, particularly when the utensil is used on a grill. The holes appear to be stamped directly into the sheet metal with no beveling to the round holes. The shape of the spatula is smart, having a somewhat tapered front width. There is no hole in the handle, so this is not a tool designed to be hung. Even with the rough spots, I'd easily give this one a five star review.

It will soon be your favorite tool in the shop. I mean kitchen. :-)
I have been clamoring, looking forward to writing this review. I belong to a woodworking forum and I placed a post in there asking members to comment on that one special tool they have in their shop that is inexpensive (next to their investments in heavy equipment) but yet is their most favorite tool in the shop. This ladle is one such item, but in the kitchen instead.I immediately took a liking to it because of the polished ladle with the arm being in a brushed nickel look. Even though it is very smooth it gives you a feeling if only a psychological one that it is designed for a better grip. The ladle being glass smooth polished makes you feel like the soup, or stew, or sauce/gravy is meant to slide right off when serving it.The other thing is that even though I am sure there were machines that help create this it also has a handmade look to it. The impressions where the hollow metal handle are joined onto the long straight flat shaft have an indentation in them that smacks of hand crafted. The curve in the long handle makes it ideal for grabbing it the way you would a fork, or for over the top grab for the gusto type of hold.It is 18/8 stainless and is dishwasher safe. I have a ladle already that is somewhat like this, but is not as large on the ladle cup end, and the handle if flat all the way. By having the expanded hollow core handle gives you a more secure grip. It's going in the rack with the other one but I am sure this is the one most everyone is going to reach for.

Dinner is served best on stainless steel
I have the slotted spatula and I absolutely LOVE it. Before getting this stainless steel spatula, I was using plastic ones and I even had a stainless steel one but it had a plastic handle that broke. I mean I have been through so many different spatulas that either melted or broke during use or were just so inferior to this spatula! I love that I don't have to worry about it bending or melting in the dishwasher and that it is so easy to clean. It makes cheeseburger nights less stressful and I couldn't be happier with the make of this spatula! I have also used wooden ladles and spoons and they either splinter after a while or they just don't quite measure up to the stainless steel make of this spatula! This spatula has become my go to cooking utensil when making dinner or lunch for my family. Thank you AMCO for thinking to the person who has to use these utensils to cook with. This one has become far superior to any of the others I have used
