Cuisipro Tempo Mesh Skimmer

This is a great tool for when you need a slotted spoon but want a fine mesh strainer instead. My specific dislike is the shape/angle of the handle. The ergonomics are just poor. I thought about heating it up and trying to bend it to be more like a spatula but decided not to do so. It's still great for the job but somewhat awkward when using.

I had seen this strainer used on a tv cooking show. I loved the design. I had to hunt thru the search responses to find it, but worth my patience. It does the job perfectly and adds that design feature to the kitchen tools.

This is one of those kitchen tools I wish I had 10 years earlier. I live outside Seattle were it is cold and damp much of the year. As such I make hearty fare when it comes to meals. What I do is buy whole chickens and then cut off what I want. The rest goes in to a stock pot to make chicken stock for soups and rice dishes. For those who have ever made homemade stocks you know all about skimming the stock for the first half hour. This worked very well but for the handle. It is way to shallow and needs to be dipped steeper so it can get down into the pot. The forward edge worked well but I think it could be improved appone so as to remove all that which clings to the side of the stock pot.

Product is great, got it mainly to skim pickling brine when making pickles, works like a charm for that, many other uses; and of course being stainless steel is the only way to go. Would highly recommend this product.

I used this for the first time last night. Last night I made braised short ribs, and needed to skim the fat from the sauce. Maybe it is just me but it did not work. All the fat came right through the skimmer. Bummer.

I bought this exact model several years ago and LOVE it, so much so that I wanted another one in case the screen ever gave out.The screen was sturdy and rigid enough to easily strain whatever was lifted onto it. The handle is polished and heavy, just enough to let you know it won't bend.Talk about disappointed; the quality has PLUNGED. I ordered two simultaneously in an attempt to get one as before but both of the screens were loose, flimsy, poorly fitted and not smooth and taught like the original.What a let down.I really LOVE the original.These last two, forget it!

attractive and useful I brought this for cream making but could have stuck to my straining spoon as not a lot of difference with the straining.
