I love this easel! I was looking for an upgrade from my cheapo A frame easel. For under $80, it definitely surpassed my expectations. It's heavy duty and well built and it functions in exactly the way I needed it to. Since it was so cheap in price, I figured it would last a year, but I'm confident this easel will be around for a long time.Putting it together was a little frustrating as nothing is marked and the directions are mostly useless...looking at the Amazon photo display helped alot. It took me about an hour altogether just figuring out which piece goes where, but it went pretty smoothly over all. From the reviews, I was thinking I would probably throw it out the window from frustration, but really it wasn't that difficult to figure out all by myself. I recommend this product.

Directions for putting this together were terrible. My husband is in the construction industry and it was difficult for him to figure it out. You have to guess at parts of it. Once it was put together, my daughter loves it. It is nice quality and adjustable. She likes that she can use it standing up or sitting.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with the quality of product. Money well spent. My only MAJOR complaint...THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE TRASH!!!I mean the drawings of steps were beyond unclear, nothing was labeled so I had many trial & errors with pieces turned wrong way or mix up with screws. What I thought would take 30min to an hour took 2HOURS!!!! And I’m nowhere near ignorant to DIY projects....pretty handy actually! The manual is just all around horrible! At one point I just tossed it aside and googled “video users manual floor easel ST38476”. I pretty just used the video I found to put it together. The instructions were absolutely NO HELP whatsoever!!!!Good luck!Good luck!!!

The instructions for assembly are pretty useless, it was impossible to decipher. I mostly just looked at the photo of the easel and similar types on YouTube tutorials. Other than that it’s sturdy, holds my large canvases, and adjusts so easily!

Beautiful easel and exactly what I wanted. Good for sitting or standing. Instructions were vague but if you have a little common sense, it’s easy to piece together looking at photos. Took about 90 minutes for me to assemble.

I am a builder and it took me 2 hours to put this easel together. The parts are not labeled; the instructions do not make the sequence of assembling the parts clear. All of this could have been remedied had photographs of the individual parts been used instead of the too-small and fuzzy drawings. The oak and hardware were good quality but the lack of clear instructions would make me think twice about ordering from this company again.A suggestion: Take two aspirins before starting the assembly process. Unfortunately I waited an hour into putting this easel together before going for the aspirin.

This easel is gorgeous and of high quality, easily worth much more, especially knowing the cheap ones from the craft store sell for $150+. Contrary to other reviews, it was very simple to assemble, assuming you have enough deductive skills to use the labeled images in the directions to assemble the pieces, using the tools they even provide for you ( I'm saying this because I find it hard to believe that anyone has a hard time assembling this unless they are a millennial or have the IQ of a turnip....the negative revies are obviously one or the other). Seriously, though, it's easy to put together ( similar to assembling Ikea furniture) and it's sturdy, light, and attractive. I'm excited to use it!

I’ll start with issue number one. The instructions are horrible. The only “legend” in the instructions is for the screws and nuts and they don’t really tell you at all what is what. The photos of the parts and how they go together are so basic you can hardly understand what part is what. Problem number two, I was missing parts in the hardware bag and had extra of others. The third issue also lies in the instructions. The order of assembly was so off. I had to take things apart at the end to get the final main part on. The instructions however showed it as a simple slide in place step but that was impossible.Seriously, whoever you hired to design your instructions needs to be fired. I’ve had an easier time setting up idea furniture.As for the easel itself, I like it. The wood is good quality, it’s sturdy and strong. Only big thing I’ve found that’s annoying is it is very top heavy. I have to let it lean again a wall so it doesn’t tip back. Just wish the instructions were clearer because if there’s one thing that’ll make someone hate a product, is bad instructions.
